Sage Civil and its remarkable employees are not just achieving goals; they are doing so with an immense sense of pride. As the director of this company, I am filled with gratitude and admiration for our dedicated team. This year, we had the privilege of witnessing two of our outstanding employees emerge as finalists at the CCF NSW Peoples Awards 2023.

Selecting nominees for such recognition is challenging, for we are truly fortunate to have many eligible employees who continually dedicate their hard work, unwavering loyalty, and, above all, integrity to Sage Civil.

I would like to highlight the incredible journey of Troy Walsh, a finalist for ‘Operator of the Year’. Troy and I have been working together since we were 16 years old, and his loyalty has consistently humbled me. Its employees like these that make our journey in the civil industry worthwhile. While he may not have finalised the desired top spot, Troy is, without a doubt, a winner in the eyes of our entire team. His dedication and commitment resonate with us each day.

In addition, we celebrated another exceptional member of our team, Justin Lydiard, who was honoured with the ‘Excellence Award: Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Employee of the Year’. Justin’s joy was contagious and filled our entire team with a sense of pride. Currently, Justin is pursuing his Cert III in Civil Construction Plant Operations through Sage Civil and Fusion Training Solutions, an accomplishment that goes beyond the industry’s standard along with the new win. Congratulations, Justin, not only for your well-deserved recognition but for your remarkable work ethic and your outstanding achievements, which honour the Aboriginal people and the Awabakal Tribe.
